Tomato jam is an excellent combination for chapathi. It's easy to make. My mom used to prepare this jam for chapathi. I loved the taste of my mom's preparation.
One day i was curious. I was thinking how i would make tomato jam like my mom. I have started to prepare.It came out for me in an excellent way.
Sure you can store it in ur refrigerator atleast for a week.
Usually in our home plenty of tomatoes are there. Sure you can try on that day.
It's a good side dish for chapathi, bread, samosa and cutlet. Sure it will take around 40minutes. You should have patience to prepare these types of recipes.
Here is my preparation of Homemade Tomato Jam.
Ingredients:
Tomato -7
Sugar - 2 cup
Method Of Preparation:
- Boil the tomatoes.
- Let it become cool for a while.
- Now peel the skin.
- After it becomes cool grind the tomatoes well and keep it a bowl.
- Keep kadai in the gas stove. Put grinded tomatoes in pan. Allow this to boil but not to overflow.
- It will be thicker and thicker.
- When it started to thick consistency add sugar and stir well. It tries to stick on the pan. Don't allow to stick it in the pan.
- Now Tomato jam is ready for Chapathi.
